 the love story | told by KatelynnNick and I met through a mutual friend on April 20th, 2012. Our connection was instant! We said yes to being boyfriend and girlfriend on May 5th, 2012 and have been together for 6 years. We dated long distance for awhile due to going to colleges in two different states, but despite the obstacles we faced we were able to make it through the tough times. Nick accepted a job offer with Chevron in Houston, Texas after we both graduated from college. One month after we graduated we moved to Houston and have been here ever since! Nick works a rotational schedule where he travels to an oil rig and stays there for two weeks working. I started my career as a dental hygienist shortly after moving here. We have two adorable dogs now, Kaylee and Zoey and we bought our first house together in March of 2016. Its been a long time coming, but we are happy to finally be saying "I do!" :) In our current neighborhood we have a pretty lake with a dock to walk out onto. Nick asked me to marry him there, with a surprise photographer who captured the special moment. He also flew my parents down from Ohio to be there for the special day! We are going to honeymoon at an all inclusive Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. We will be going a couple of weeks after our wedding!  bridal prepBridal prep for the ladies took place at Nick's grandparents house a short distance from the church. Katelynn wore a beautiful strapless lace A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline, her hair in an elegant chignon and a stunning cathedral length veil. Her gorgeous bouquet from the talented Ivy Hutch Flowers was made up of light pink and cream roses and cream hypericum berries. Katelynn and her bridemaids all wore cute floral robes for their bridal prep. When it was time to get ready her bridesmaids looked amazing in their navy dresses and each took turns helping Katelynn get ready. Nick wore a grey suit, navy tie, brown shoes, and a cream rose boutonniere.  
  
  
 first lookKatelynn and Nick had a HOT day, 93 degrees hot to be exact. But not once did they ever looked wilted nor complained. These two are so sweet, easy going, and a joy to photograph <3
   
 
ceremonyThe couple had their ceremony at the beautiful St. Charles Catholic Church in Lima surrounded by the beautiful stained glass windows. After the ceremony the couple exited to bubbles from their guests and hopped in a sweet white mustang for a quick trip around the block.        
 
    
        bridal partyThis couple surrounded themselves with a stunning bridal party that as exceptionally helpful, fun, and easy going!                      mr + mrsSince Nick & Katelynn opted for a first look we had several opportunities throughout the day to take bridal portraits as we traveled from the first look location, to the bridal party location, a quick stop at The Met after the ceremony, and a downtown location. I love all the variety this gave them <3 
 
    
        
receptionThe reception was held at the beautiful UNOH Event Center. The center never disappoints with the tall ceilings, grand chandeliers, and gorgeous space for the head table. Once again the combined efforts of Joyous Occasions and the lighting from Fox Event group knocked this reception out of the park! The love could be felt at this reception with lots of laughs and tears through out the toasts, the sweet exchange of cake bites with the couple, Nick's spectacular pre-garter removal dance ;) and the fun had by all on the dance floor! 
   
 
 
   
                
              ^^ I'll give you one guess to guess what dance move this cutie is doing :D lol We see a LOTTTTTTTTT of "flossing" and this dude was quite possibly the fastest flosser (<<< is that a word?? it is now) I have ever seen!!!  Vendors:
