Emily + Steve are seriously the sweetest couple! We loved every moment of their day <3 Their day took place at the Manor House at Wildwood park. This 30,000 square foot historic home was built by the founders of Champion Spark Plug Company in 1938. I loved this choice for them because it fit them perfectly. Their day was intimate, unique, and absolutely gorgeous.
All wedding dresses are special, but Emily's was a notch up in the special department as she was wearing her grandmother's wedding dress! It was a beautiful silky satin with a button back and unique neckline. She had the sleeves altered to put her own mark on the dress. She wore her hair half up with a stunning comb, beautiful pink heels, rose gold earrings and carried her grandmothers beautiful beaded clutch. The setting of the historic house, and the dress......gah perfection... One of the most unique elements of the day was her use of books. Emily, a bookworm, works at Barnes and Noble and brought this love into her special day by making her own bouquet out of pages from a book and having her bridesmaid carry books in stead of bouquets <3
Steve prepared for the day in the basement of the manor, which was fitting since it isn't a normal old basement. This one was a full man cave, before they were called man caves. It has a fireplace, bar, and shooting range! Steve wore a grey vest and trousers, with a green tie and a wedding ring made of oak.
Steve is a character :D I laughed so much with them through out their day. I ended up having a terrible time narrowing down the images to use because they had so many cute interactions! Steve 100% brings light to Emily's eyes and I know these two are going to be laughing for years to come.
First, I'd love to welcome this sweet little family to the area! They had just moved in when they asked me to come over and capture a few moments of them with their toddler and newborn <3 Big sis didn't know how she felt about me...but we were able to capture a few sweet moments with her new baby sister <3
Just stop it..... I LOOOOVEEEEE this senior session!! How fun!! Kylee is one of our 2019 Senior Models. I knew from working with her earlier this year that she is a beautifully unique individual so I was not surprised when she asked to do part 1 of her session at the fair. It honestly fit her so well with all the bright color and was so different than what other people were doing. I loved every minute it of it and I know I looked like a crazy person squatting down in the middle of the midway to get a shot and asking to sit on the skiball. But I honestly don't care...I have come so far since I started my business! I used to get nervous taking a client near a busy street where...gasp... people could see us. Now if you are close to me during a shoot, you BETTER be watching, because I will probably back right over you lol. Can I get a back up beeper made for a human???
I'm so excited to photograph Jessica + Jeff's wedding in a little over a month! We met up for their engagement session a few weeks back and their little guy joined us for the first part of the session....Oh. My. Gosh folks...I could eat that little boy up he is so dang cuuuute!!
Jessica + Jeff were a dream to photograph and Jeff even had the opportunity to save my life....ok not really, but he did help my dumb self out tremendously!!! When we got out to the field part of the session the bugs were BAD. Like eating my face off bad. So I said, "hey guys hold on just two seconds while I spray this bug spray on...especially around my head area because they are really biting my face" Well this spray was a pump, not an aerosol, and it didn't come out right away. Have no fear though, it did come out..right into my EYES when my seriously dumb self pointed it at my face to see why it wasn't working (SMH...WOW, just WOW) which is why you should never point things at your face as my 7 year old pointed out to me as I reported the evening events to my husband when I got home. Immediately my eyes felt like there was molten lava under my eyelids. Jeff ran to my rescue by retrieving water out of his vehicle which he handed to me and quickly realized he would have to assist me while I held my eyes open and he poured it all over my face bahahaha…. Oh I can only imagine what they were thinking and probably said to each other after the session was over lol. Anyway I recovered quickly, because we were losing the best light and the show must go on!! I continued on in my wet t-shirt and with black eyeliner smeared all over my face.... I'm glad I can laugh at myself and share this lovely story with you all. Thank you Jessica & Jeff for having my back and continuing on after my traumatic event bahahah. I think I will stay away from any sprays on your wedding day...maybe I should invest in one of those deodorant stick looking repellents!
the love story | as told by Deena
Don and I actually met back in 2010 when he was the best man and I was the maid of honor for one of our good friends' wedding. However, we didn't hit it off until the end of 2015 - beginning of 2016. In 2017, we decided to move in together and see how things would go and that is when he popped the question later that year. And from there it's our very happy fairy tale ending.
Don proposed when we were on vacation in Disney taking my daughter to Magic Kingdom for her 10th birthday celebration. Little did I know, he surprised us with dinner for her birthday at the Cinderella castle. After dinner and while we were waiting on our desert, just as the fireworks were starting, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was a total surprise and a very happy ending. He even got a photographer to snapshot the whole proposal.
Deena & her bridesmaids all got ready at the ceremony site, Field & Stream in Spencerville. They had a super cute waffle & mimosa bar for everyone to nibble on during the morning prep. Deena wore a sleeveless, A-line gown with a v-line neck. The fabric had white pinstripes and the skirt was full of many different layers and pieces, almost like petals on a flower. She wore her hair up with a delicate barrette. Her jewelry was simple and stylish and she opted for cute and comfy with her white and gold converse sneakers (SUPER smart!!) Deena did get dressed in the lodge but we opted to head outside for the finishing touches. While we were out there a butterfly was hanging around. After the butterfly visited Deena, her niece became the keeper of the sweet little butterfly and he hung around on her dress till Deena's niece stepped into place for the family formals photo later that day. Now this is a neat thing all by itself, but I want to share that Deena's dad passed a few years back and I know we all liked to think of it as a sign of his presence on such a special day <3

Toast: "May all your ups and downs be in the bedroom." lol....I have heard many toasts...that's a first for me folks.
I've been waiting to be able to post this sweet session! Sometimes it's hard being "in the know" as a photographer and just wanting to share all the sweet images and having to wait :)
I met sweet Brooklyn last summer and she sure kept me on my toes! I was so excited when her mommy contacted me to photograph her again this year and then informed me we would be photographing a little something extra too <3
Over the past few years I have had the joy of photographing 2 of the 3 families in this extended family session and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph them all together! This is such a fun bunch I laughed the whole time <3
Jaden.... you were so easy to photograph! My creative flow is...well that, flow. It is spur of the moment, and most of time me showing the pose instead of 100% verbally instructing it. I will be trying to figure out what I want a client to do and I will make micro movements with my body...Jaden read me perfectly and completed my thoughts! We had to dodge several bicycle photobombers, and trudge through prickly plants up to our booties (I was wearing shorts and flip flops....I know better, I really do), but she rocked her session and I'm am so pleased with how it turned out!
Jaden is one of our senior models and she has a coupon for some photography goodies so make sure to contact her via Insta to get one!
Guys! I'm excited to introduce you to one of my 2019 wedding couples! We ended up picking a rainy day, but we rolled with it and had so much fun! First we started in the parking garage downtown, hopped on over to the overhang in front of the Civic Center and then ended in a super cool, but kind of creepy old building down town....EEEE Rachael was in heaven in that creepy place...me, not so much lol. I cannot wait to photograph these two for their spring wedding <3
the love story
as told by Spencer
Okay guys, I'll make this as short as I can. Let me know if you want to hear the whole thing...it's a good one! I first met Jenna at the ACT test in Wapakoneta. Romantic, I know. She was with Mindi, a mutual friend of ours that I knew from church and she knew from school. A few days after that, I asked Mindi for Jenna's information and got a hold of this girl I thought was cute and funny. We texted for a little while, but 17 year old Spencer wasn't too committed, and let her slip away. We hung out a few times in big groups after I graduated high school in 2013, but I was going off to college and wasn't looking for a relationship (also, I didn't think anyone liked me and all my goofiness). Fast Forward to the Fall of 2013, when the Homecoming dance was coming up. Mindi texted me on Jenna's phone, asking me to the dance. I agreed, ultimately thinking how fun it would be to see all my old friends. At the dance, I realized again how cool this Jenna girl was. We went to the dance and had a great time, but I had to go back and focus on my Freshmen year studies and such. Spring Break was quickly approaching, and Mindi (you'll notice she was pivotal in all this) let me know Jenna needed a date to the Prom, and let me know how much fun Jenna had at Homecoming. I began to text and call Jenna again, this time with much more intent. I let her know how much I liked her, and when I was home for break, I asked her to her Prom (Super Romantic, I know). By the time the dance rolled around, I knew Jenna was the girl I wanted to make my girlfriend, and luckily, she obliged. We have been dating now for over 4 years, and I am so excited that I get to be her husband forever!
as told by Jenna
So, I’m guessing you read Spencer’s version of our journey to Prom 2014, but it looks a little different from my perspective. I started noticing Spencer before he took much notice of me. I knew he was friends with Mindi and Lidia from church, and I’d met him a few times in passing. When he stopped texting me after the ACT, 16-year-old Jenna was pretty bummed because I thought he was really nice and funny. Later on, it wasn’t just me who took notice of him. My mom was around him a few times the summer after he graduated high school, and she noticed that he was so fun, hilarious, and a Christian. She would say things to me like, “What about Spencer Wolf? Isn’t he so funny? His mom Linda is so sweet! Are you attracted to him?” I about died every time she would ask me those things, but I didn’t admit to her that I definitely had a crush on him. I started to give up hope a little because he didn’t seem very interested in me specifically but more so interested in my group of friends as a whole. We went to Homecoming my senior year, simply as friends, but I was blown away that he was such a gentleman. He opened every door for me, paid for everything, and danced with me all night. Still just friends. Then, out of nowhere in the spring this handsome gentleman started pursuing me. So sweet and intentional, it was almost overwhelming! On the last slow dance of Prom, I agreed to date him as long as he asked my dad first. Not quite what he wanted to hear. Haha! Our story doesn’t end there though. That’s only where it started. Since then, God has been growing and changing us though our time at college and after. We have grown to love the Lord and each other more and more over the past 4 years. I thank God for Spencer in my life. He has matured in front of my eyes. He continues to serve me with a patient and kind heart. I only hope I can do the same. The way that he has loved and respected me has been a beautiful example of Christ’s love in my life. I pray that we continue chasing after God together in our marriage. I wouldn’t want to run the race with anyone else by my side.
Spencer proposed to me on May 19, 2017 at my parent's home. He took me out to a nice dinner, and we were all dressed up. So fun! We came back to the house and he somehow coaxed me out to the woods with him. Back story: We have a little log cabin in the woods at our house that I had helped my Dad build when I was little. I had worked hard to fix it up in high school, but it fell to disarray when animals got into it once again. Spencer had been secretly cleaning, painting, redoing the floor, etc. with my Dad and brother. I was oblivious. On May 19th he took me inside to find it renewed and filled with Christmas lights, countless pictures of us, flowers, and candles. He got down on one knee (so nervous and sweet), and he asked me to marry him and spend forever together. Oh yeah, and I said YES!!
We are going to Jamaica right after our wedding. We fly out Sunday morning! We will be so ready to relax on the beach and enjoy the resort together!
If you follow my blogs right about now you expect to see pretty details start filling the page... not today folks! Oh we will get to that shortly but we are going to start this bridal prep with the boys visiting a place where the pickle on top makes your heart go flippity flop <3 Spencer and his groomsmen walked across the street to one of the oldest burger joints in the U.S., good old Kewpee, so we thought we'd join them!
Meanwhile back at Trinity United Methodist the ladies were hanging out in their embroidered robes getting beautified for the day. Jenna wore a sleeveless satin A-line gown (with pockets, I LOVE dresses with pockets!) Her hair was elegantly swooped up to the base of her neck, she wore a delicately beaded headband and a beautiful jeweled fingertip veil. Her three bridesmaids wore a tea-length dress in a muted purple and beautiful bead details on the bodice. The bouquets were light and airy with filled with white and shades of purple, silver dollar eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves.
Jenna and Spencer decided on a traditional timeline for their day, but we did get them ever so close to read their letters to each other. After this sweet moment we brought in Jenna's dad to see her for the first time. <3
As you read in the couple's love story, their walk with the Lord is central to their relationship. Prior to the ceremony, friends and family filled their prep rooms to pray over this sweet couple as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives. The words were sweet and the tears many.
Family played a large part in their ceremony. Jenna's family members provided amazing live music, 6 little girls carried flowers in memory of the deceased, there were 2 adorable ring bearers, and the sweetest little flower girl that was escorted down the aisle by the best man. As Spencer stood on the stage awaiting his bride his nervous excitement was almost palpable. As Jenna walked down the aisle with her father, emotion overcame both Jenna and Spencer. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and filled with the Holy Spirit. Once more the family members joined them on stage to pray over the couple before they were officially announced husband and wife. After the ceremony the couple released each row of guests and we started the process of photographing their 4 large families then did a smaller more intimate bubble release with them after the photos were finished.

The couple's reception was held at the Veteran's Memorial Civic Center. The decorations for the ballroom were garden inspired with potted plants scattered through out and hanging from the ceiling with string lights which felt like a garden courtyard when the lights were lowered for dancing. Joyous Occasions once again knocked this reception decorations out of the park! The night was filled with love, fun, laughter, toasts with a surprise sing-along, the shoe game, anniversary dance, and more!
the love story | told by Katelynn
Nick and I met through a mutual friend on April 20th, 2012. Our connection was instant! We said yes to being boyfriend and girlfriend on May 5th, 2012 and have been together for 6 years. We dated long distance for awhile due to going to colleges in two different states, but despite the obstacles we faced we were able to make it through the tough times. Nick accepted a job offer with Chevron in Houston, Texas after we both graduated from college. One month after we graduated we moved to Houston and have been here ever since! Nick works a rotational schedule where he travels to an oil rig and stays there for two weeks working. I started my career as a dental hygienist shortly after moving here. We have two adorable dogs now, Kaylee and Zoey and we bought our first house together in March of 2016. Its been a long time coming, but we are happy to finally be saying "I do!" :)
In our current neighborhood we have a pretty lake with a dock to walk out onto. Nick asked me to marry him there, with a surprise photographer who captured the special moment. He also flew my parents down from Ohio to be there for the special day!
We are going to honeymoon at an all inclusive Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. We will be going a couple of weeks after our wedding!
Bridal prep for the ladies took place at Nick's grandparents house a short distance from the church. Katelynn wore a beautiful strapless lace A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline, her hair in an elegant chignon and a stunning cathedral length veil. Her gorgeous bouquet from the talented Ivy Hutch Flowers was made up of light pink and cream roses and cream hypericum berries. Katelynn and her bridemaids all wore cute floral robes for their bridal prep. When it was time to get ready her bridesmaids looked amazing in their navy dresses and each took turns helping Katelynn get ready.
Nick wore a grey suit, navy tie, brown shoes, and a cream rose boutonniere.
Katelynn and Nick had a HOT day, 93 degrees hot to be exact. But not once did they ever looked wilted nor complained. These two are so sweet, easy going, and a joy to photograph <3
We chose downtown Wapak and The Temple of Tolerance for part 1 of Cammy's senior session. I seriously had so much fun with her! She was instantly at ease in front of the camera and giving me micro-movements without coaching <3 This girl killed it!
the love story | told by Amber
Thane and I have known each other since elementary school. We started dating in jr. high and throughout high school. Thane and I just knew that we wanted to be together in high school. We talked about marriage; however, we both intended on going to college and wanted to wait until that chapter of our lives. We both attended the University of Toledo, where we were both active on campus and in Greek Life. In April 2016, Thane lavaliered me. This is essentially a pre-engagment ceremony that allowed him to share his (fraternity)letters with me. It began with a candle pass from my sorority sisters in the Greek village. Immediately following the candle pass, Thane and his fraternity brothers walked out of their house into the village and got down on one knee. They sang their 'Sweetheart' song and Thane presented me with a lavaliere (necklace) with his letters on it and stitch letters. A year later we were engaged!
Thane asked me to marry him after a family gathering, Thane got his parents and my parents together as well as our siblings. He got down on one knee in front of them and asked me to marry him. I was not expecting it at all so there was a lot of surprise. Afterwards, we were able to go out to dinner and celebrate. After our wedding we will be honeymooning in Barbados!
Bridal prep for the girls took place at Tree Links. Amber wore a beautiful sleeveless lace trumpet gown with v-line neck and jeweled buttoned back. Her hair was elegantly gathered at the nape of her neck. She wore a beautiful hair piece and a fingertip veil.
first look + bridal portraits
Amber and Thane were are first couple of 2018 to do a first look <3 I LOVE first looks!! (I enjoy traditional timelines too) however first looks are sweet an intimate and they also provide a lot more freedom for the day! We have more opportunities for photos if the weather isn't working and if the weather is working with us then couples have more time with their guests because all the pictures are finished before the ceremony. Anyway, Amber and Thane were so sweet, we had Amber call for Thane as she rounded the corner of the path so he could see his beautiful bride walking towards him. I think his smile said it all <3
the love story | told by Tori
Our story begins long before many actually know. When Bryce and I were about 10 years old, I would spend the night at Bryce's house because I was good friends with Bryce's sister from dance. As time drew on, visits were less and less often. Fast forward eight years later and Bryce and I were reunited through mutual friends and a spark was lit between us. It all started with text messages back and forth until Bryce popped the bubble and asked me out to the movies. A simple comedy, Identity Thief, seemed like a nice suggestion. This being Bryce's first date ever, he was nervous, so much so that he didn't even reach for my hand or give me a hug when he returned me home. I thought the nervousness and tepidness was kind of cute (Thank goodness!) and happily accepted a breakfast date to Bob Evans (Still today our favorite date location) a few days later
On March 19th Bryce and I found ourselves walking along the banks of the Scioto River. After awkwardly rearranging our positions to avoid me from sticking my cold hands into Bryce's left jacket pocket which contained the ring, he proposed!
Bryce's parents are surprising us with a honeymoon immediately after the wedding. We will find out our honeymoon destination at the airport the following Monday after our wedding!
Tori and Bryce both prepped for the big day at their ceremony location, Delphos Trinity United Methodist Church, with their friends and family.
Tori wore a beautiful lace trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline, jeweled button back, fingertip veil, and gorgeous jeweled cutout flats and a beautiful bracelet given to her by Bryce's mother. Her bouquet, from the talented Ivy Hutch Flower shop, was shades of purple and white flowers with pearl accents. Tori wrapped lace from her mother and grandmother's dresses around her bouquet and place her grandmothers earring in the wrap. Her hair was elegantly pulled up and she wore a delicate jeweled headband.
Bryce looked dapper in his gray suit and purple tie, vest, and pocket square. He wore silver cuff links and a watch given to him by his bride.
I met Kellie, Phil and their sweet family for the first time last fall when we did an engagement/family session. I knew right then that the wedding would be a great time. They are completely laid back and so funny. I remember laughing the whole time!
Our first stop for bridal prep was with Phil and his son Philly at the Mariott to capture his details. I love when we have extra time to pop in with the groom.
After hanging with the boys we hopped on over to Kellie's parents house were she, her mom and her daughter Kadance were getting ready. Kellie had mentioned in her questionnaire that she wanted her shoes photographed. UMMMM... can we talk about these gorgeous things??!! I wanted to just photograph them all. day. long. <3 <3
Kellie wore a gorgeous lace trumpet gown with a sweetheart neck and buttoned back, a sea foam jeweled belt and a fingertip veil. Her hair was lightly curled and pulled half up with the cutest succulent hair clips to match the succulents in her beautiful bouquet created by Ivy Hutch Flowers. AND let's not forget those UH-MAZING shoes! Kadance wore a pretty sea foam dress with a high neckline and the same sweet succulent hair clips.
Kellie + Phil's ceremony was held at the Allen County Farm Park. The barn was decorated simply in white, peach, & sea foam. Guests entered to live music provided by a strings quartet. The couple was married by Kellie's brother Dr. Jason Kesson in a sweet and simple ceremony with readings provided by Kellie's nephews and niece.
the proposal | as told by Caytlin
We went on a week long vacation to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He waited until two days before we were leaving and he got down on one knee in the cabin. He had gotten me up that morning and said he wanted me to see something because he had planned on taking me out to the boat dock behind our cabin but he saw there were other people out there so he chickened out and did it right there in the cabin.
If you have read my other wedding blogs recently you will notice a theme about this first part ;) The day of the wedding the first thing I did was snatch up my phone to see the latest hourly weather forecast...."oh boy" I thought! We are kicking off this years wedding season with 8 weddings in a row. Caytlin and Hank are my 3rd wedding out of that 8 stretch before we spread out the rest of this years weddings to a couple a month. Last weekend we had a double header and after studying my weather app it looked like Caytlin and Hank were on the path to have the opposite experience I had had both days last weekend. Last weekend it rained all day but cleared up for the perfect 2 hour window for the ceremony and pictures. This looked the opposite! It was going to be beautiful all day EXCEPT for that perfect little window I needed. But as we all know regardless of the weather a wedding must go on so I devised a plan to make the best of what the radar was telling me. I told Caytlin the new plan to take bridal portraits the second they walked out of the church while the guests lined up for bubbles, she was game and it went down without a hitch. Ahhhhh I love when things come together. In fact we were able to get everything knocked out with bridal portraits, bridal party, and family formals before we were were supposed to originally even start that part of the day! Sure enough as we finished up the rain blew in! WAY TO GO Caytlin and Hank's family and friends for hustling and making it happen <3
Bridal prep took place at Grace Fellowship Church. Her bridesmaids were dressed in sea foam green and coral. Caytlin wore an ballgown style gown with a sweetheart neckline, ruched bodice, with gorgeous jewel detail and a full tulle ruffled skirt. Her footwear was jeweled sandals and she wore her hair half up with a fingertip veil.
the love story | told by Haley
Tanner and I met in high school. He was a senior and I was a sophomore. We went to a very small school but somehow never really talked to one another. After the first time we hung out it was constant communication. We knew even at a young age we had found our forever love. We were able to experience high school, college, buying our first home, getting our first puppy, and so much more together. Now we are ready to commit our lives to being with each other. Our lives have been so blessed. I know our blessing will only continue with marriage.
I never thought Tanner would be able to surprise me but he proved me wrong. Every month or so two of my friends and I plan a “girls day out”. Tanner took advantage of this day and without my knowledge got in contact with them to plan my proposal. So the girls and I planned a day in Easton shopping, nail salon, dinner, and all. The two of them and Tanner were in contact all day making sure everything went as planned with me remaining in the dark. After we finished dinner we planned on taking a picture in front of the big Christmas tree. When went to take the photo my friends left my side I turned around to Tanner asking me to be his wife. It was by far the easiest question to answer in my life.
Tanner has planned the entire honeymoon. It will be right after the wedding. He will be surprising me with the whole thing! It’s hard for us to keep anything from each other so I almost can’t believe I haven’t caved and begged for him to tell me. I do know we need our passports and to bring plenty of swim suits. I am looking forward to my unknown paradise more than anyone can imagine!
Haley & Tanner selected the beautiful Tree Links venue in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This venue used to be a golf course and has an amazing property for photos <3 Mother Nature decided to throw us a curve ball and make it rain on and off. You know, the kind you can't predict, whenever she feels a good sprinkle is in order. The ceremony was going to be held outside in front of a gorgeous grove of tall pines, but the couple decided to lean on the safe side and moved their ceremony indoors.
Haley wore a Kenneth Winston gown from the Bridal Emporium. It was a satin gown with lace overlay, gorgeous cap sleeves and a stunning long lace train. She wore her impressively long hair in a loosely braid with flowers and a finger tip veil. Her flowers were light and airy and perfectly designed by her mother in law.
Sometimes weather isn't a big deal...and sometimes it is. Like when you have an outdoor ceremony and no Plan B. As any wedding photographer does, I started watching my weather app about the week before the wedding. It started out looking like we were golden, then progressively turned worse as the week marched on towards the day of the wedding. In the past this may have stressed me out, but I was completely calm & cool. I knew we had a gorgeous location both inside and out and a sweet couple and we would make it through the day. Regardless, I woke up Friday and snatched up my phone to see that a giant change on my weather app had NOT occurred and started to pray for a well timed break in the rain for the ceremony while I prepped my equipment.
I arrived to Jameson and the same calm I felt about the day was flowing through the venue. There were no major conversations about what to do... we just had faith that it would turn out ok. We started photographing the bridal prep as if the sun was shining outside and there were no worries. I'm pleased do tell you that God heard us, and as Tierra started to descend the staircase into the ceremony the last few drops fell and the rain gave us the break we needed for the ceremony and photos and came back to visit after everyone was safely inside the reception! Even though we probably would have all loved to have a full day of sun, I'm so excited that Tierra and Devonte have an awesome wedding story that includes God's favor on their important day.
Both Tierra & Devonte used Jameson Manor to get ready for the day. It's always exciting for us when the groom is on the same property as the bride during bridal prep, because so often we miss out on the neat pictures of the groom getting ready.
Tierra wore a sleek fitted gown with the most beautiful see through side details, high neck, glittery flats, and her hair pulled up elegantly with a sweet floral clip.
Devonte wore a grey suit, white bow tie, black shoes, silver cuff links, and the COOLEST watch!
Oh Spring I thought you would never get here....but I am so glad you were late!!! This session is seriously the only reason I would ever utter that statement. I don't think that I have had an engagement session line up with flowering trees before, I AM IN LOVE!!!!!
I wish Mother Nature was more predictable because I would be packing my schedule full during the couple of weeks that we get to witness this beauty! I have photographic proof in my phone that spring was almost a whole month late this year, but if she would have shown up in April like she did last year we would have totally miss out on these jaw dropping beautiful images of my friend Deena and her soon to be husband Don. I am excited to show them off and even more excited that they have selected me to be their wedding photographer this August!! Love you guys and this session <3

INTRODUCING the NEW Jameson Manor Boudoir Collection!!!
Boudoir has been a passion of mine since the start of my business 4 1/2 years ago. I have been photographing MANY beautiful women out of my home since then and recently decided I wanted to add another location option to my boudoir collections! What better place than the gorgeous Jameson Manor right here in Lima, Ohio?? The historic building is the perfect setting and they have the most gorgeous furniture to pose on and around <3
I had been tossing this idea around in my head for a couple months when my good friend and favorite makeup artist Liz Flowers of 12 Month Beauty, contacted me and proposed we do another project together. Miss Liz and I go back to the beginning of my boudoir journey! We met when she joined her makeup client at her boudoir session. She and I were both starting our careers at that time and through this chance meeting started a working relationship that became a friendship. We helped each other grow in our businesses and I am forever grateful for her <3 A year ago she LEFT ME ;) and moved to Columbus, Ohio. I miss her so much and was excited that she was reaching out to do a project! I told her about wanting to add Jameson to my boudoir locations and that I needed to do a shoot there for sample photos! She was completely on board and we place a model call shortly after!
Man what a fun day I had with all these wonderful women! It was so refreshing to gab it up and laugh while they were getting all dolled up. I loved getting to know our models before the shoot <3 These beautiful ladies were exceptional and made my job so easy. I am over the moon with the images. I love that I was able to pull two different looks from this amazing property. Some rooms are my typical bright and airy style, and some I was able to pull out the moody type images I love to look at online. I can't wait for you all to see the finished products below and hopefully get to photograph you in this amazing location!

Jameson Manor | Lima, OH | 2019 Senior Model Shoot | Simply Torn | Beauty by Jill | Jaden, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Shaylen, Kylee
I seriously don't know how we keep getting SOOO lucky with our beautiful models each year!!! These 5 were so easy to work with and so freaking gorgeous! Simply Torn and Beauty by Jill knocked it out of the park again and the icing on the cake was our beautiful location at the gorgeous Jameson Manor. Everything flowed together beautifully, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
We started out again at Beauty by Jill, where they warned the girls that this shoot is supposed to be a little out of the box so they won't be getting looks they would normally wear :) The makeup line that was used is actually a product of a Lima native. The line called Macy & Mia is super fun and affordable! They have the cutest unicorn makeup brushes, really fun colors and is available for purchase at Beauty by Jill on Main!
Everything went perfectly and we were even ready to head to location a half hour early! Way to go Beauty by Jill team!! Once at location Jamie and Jenna of Simply Torn put their sweet skills to work styling the outfits from top to bottom, complete with adorable gold tattoos <3
Jameson Manor is such a cool place and we literally spent 2/3rds of the shoot in 1 room!! I love to photograph there and I have photographed everything from bridal prep, cocktail hour, boudoir, and now this fun fashion shoot! If you are looking for a sweet and unique place for a shower, wedding, graduation party, or any other event this is the place for you!
These girls are representing our brands this year and did an amazing job at the shoot. They will be posting these pictures all year long but they also have some digital coupons for Simply Torn to send you, so get in touch with them if you'd like to get some sweet savings at this awesome boutique!
Without further ado.... the 2019 Senior Models...
All dolled up...off to Jameson!
Time to shoot!!
That's me :D I had my wedding 2nd shooter with me (AKA my mommy) This is one of the behind the scenes she captured...I'm pretty sure I am telling them how much I LOOOOVEE this and how excited I am....oh and how hot I was. Man I get so toasty when I shoot lol...thought I was going to have to strip down to my tank top after 5 minutes...after seeing how many behind the scenes photos made it online from our entourage (the models fams), I'm sooo glad I didn't bahaha... Okay back to the beauties <3
It's Senior Model time again!!! Man....we have had a heck of a time getting our paint shoot scheduled! Mother Nature has not been on our side at all. This shoot may look like a fun time, and it is! But fun isn't the only reason we do this shoot. Most of these girls each year have never met so we use this time as an icebreaker before tossing them into the styled group shoot and tell them to pile in and get close :) It is also a great time for them to get to know how I work behind the camera and get a little more comfortable in front of the lens while other people are watching. Needless to say I was starting to get nervous that we hadn't had a day work out for the shoot when we were only a little over a week out from the styled shoot! Thankfully Mother Nature decided to meet us half way and gave us 70 degrees with 18 mph winds...ok Nature we will roll with it, thanks for the natural "model fan look" lol. Unfortunately this shoot is not complete :( one of our models, Jaden, got called in to work at the last minute. We missed her greatly and wished we could have tried to reschedule again! I can't wait for you all to see her in the styled shoot pictures because she is gorgeous!
We had a lot of fun again this year and tried switching it up. Normally we do a mini shoot before the paint fight to go over the way I shoot then have fun at the end with the paint. This year we started with the paint and modeled with the paint on them. I'm IN LOVE!!! I think it looks amazing and I love the contrast of the serious faces modeling through the silly paint. These girls were a breeze to work with and I can't wait to see them all together with their AMAZING looks provided by Simply Torn and Beauty by Jill at our BEAUTIFUL venue Jameson Manor!! EEEEEEEE I am so excited!!
Gahhhh see these sweet faces? I mean all the heart eyes right? I was lucky enough to get to do a 6 month in home lifestyle session with these two sweet boys a few weeks ago. They were soooo good and made it incredibly hard for their mommy and daddy to choose what pictures they wanted! But before I show you some of the bajillion they picked (just kidding it wasn't that many lol) I want to step back and show you when I first met these two this past summer.
**sigh** gorgeous right??
Ok now to the squishy cheeks and dimpled arm cuteness!!
