the love story (as told by Kylie)I met Ryan in the fall of 2011 during our freshman year at BGSU in the Centennial Hall dorm. I had a class with Ryan’s best friend/roommate, who happened to live across the hall from one of my other friends. When I was hanging out with my friend one night, we ran into Ryan in the hallway, however it was not “love at first sight!” After several more weekends of hanging out, we became quite good friends, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2014 that we started dating. Ryan proposed on June 15, 2018 at Indian lake in front of a beautiful sunset and we celebrated by going to a Kenny Chesney and Thomas Rhett concert the next night (two of our favorite artists.) Fun fact, We are the 3rd generation on my side to get married at St. Anthony’s Church. My grandparents, my parents, and now us! bridal prepKylie and Ryan made arrangements for their bridal preperations to take place at the gorgeous Jameson Manor. Which makes this photographer so happy :) It is so nice to have everyone in one spot and tons of beautiful spaces. I feel like it makes the getting ready part of the day extra special <3 The ladies took over the 2nd floor with the talented Beauty by Jill team and the guys hung out in the corner room on the main floor. The house was full of smiles, laughs, and excitement as they all got ready. Kylie had so many special touches! There were personalized hangers for her bridesmaids, matching outfits and pineapple cups, her sweet kitty Dale came to visit, and for the first time ever I photographed a 3 generation wedding dress photo! I held my breath as we pulled out her grandmother's gorgeous and delicate dress and hung it along side Kylie's. Love. Love. Love. this!! Kylie wore a STUNNING V-neck beaded and lace fitted gown. The top back of her dress was shear lace that wrapped around to her sides and came to a V at her mid back. Buttons alternating with jewels cascaded from that point down the dramatic train. She wore her hair up elegantly at the nape of her neck topped with gorgeous beaded cathedral length veil. Hidden and only occasionally seen was Kylie's bright red heels <3 red is her favorite color, which was not in the theme for the day but that didn't stop her from following her heart and I LOVED it! ceremonyThe ceremony was held at St. Anthony's in Columbus Grove, where as mentioned above, Kylie's parents and grandparents also were married. The church is beautiful with it's cream walls, arches, and exposed beams. The pews were decorated with simple lambs ear wreaths. Most everything went off without a hitch...there may have been a battery situation and Ryan focusing so much on getting the ring on that he didn't realize he had things to say while doing it :) Listen... no wedding day is perfect and I personally love the little things that add smiles and character! bridal partymr + mrsreceptionThe couples reception took place at the spacious UNOH Event Center in Lima. Once again the talented Joy Occasions knocked the decorating out of the park with combinations of round and long rectangular tables, rail back chairs, beautiful florals in hues of purples and creams, and as always a spectacular head table. Many laughs were had during the speeches, the prime rib from Lock Sixteen was supurb and the dance floor was PACKED with bodies to celebrate the night. As our time was coming to an end Kylie surprised Ryan with an OSU dance (she is a DIE HARD fan) and by the looks of it one of Ryan's groomsmen wasn't too pleased....I'm guessing he's a little confused on which team he should be rooting for ;) Vendors Wedding dress, earrings, bracelet, veil- Lace Bridal Couture Florist-Petal Shed Decorator-Joyous Occasions Ceremony-St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Reception-UNOH Event Center Hair and make up- Beauty by Jill DJ-Fox Event Group Videographer-CJSmith Films Cake-Judy Gillett Catering-Lock Sixteen Bridesmaid dresses-Emmy’s bridal Groomsmen attire-men’s warehouse
