the love story (as told by Murraya)

We met multiple times at different parties but never really hit it off. One of us was always dating another person. In December 2014, I was planning a girl's night with my best friend, Amy full of sweats, wine, and chic flicks. Plans changed when I got to Amy's house. Amy said, "Hey, we are going to go to dinner with Moyer. He's bored and wants to hang out." Begrudgingly, I agreed and made Amy give me a nice sweater to borrow and made her do my hair and make up.

We met up at a Mexican restaurant in Bellefontaine, had dinner and a couple drinks. After dinner, Jason wanted to show us both his soon to be new house. We ventured over to his new place with a bottle of wine in hand. We stood in the kitchen listening to music and talking well into the hours of the morning. The rest is history. There have been very few days since that day that we have spent apart.

On February 23rd 2018, Jason's parents came over for dinner. They left around 9:30pm or so. Jason and I started cleaning up the kitchen. We had some Valentine's day candy laying around and one of the pieces reminded me of when I was a kid. I start rambling on and on about this story of why it reminded me of my childhood while I'm putting things in the refrigerator when Jason disappears. I yelled and said, "Hey buddy, this kitchen isn't clean yet! You better get back in here to help me out!"

In a few seconds, Jason came back into the kitchen and dropped to his knee. He was nervous and shaking like a leaf. He asked me to marry him! I thought he was kidding at first, but said yes as soon as I realized he was not kidding! Murraya and her girls got ready at a friends house close to the venue then ventured over to put on Murraya's finishing details. Murraya wore a form fitting lace gown with a full shear back and shear accents across the neckline and front of the bodice. Her hair was elegantly swept up at the nape of her neck and adorned with a delicate beaded accent and topped off with a gorgeous cathedral length veil. She wore beautiful drop earrings and an eclectic collection of bracelets that tied the look all together.

Guuuuyyyys the way Murraya's dad looked at her... all the feels. Seriously had me in tears editing.

I love first looks. Period. I could end right there. BUT this one was sweet. When we set up a first look we are trying to cover all the bases and set it up in a nice location. We clear out any distractions and prompt our couple. I usually instruct our bride to call out the name wait for the turn around and then walk over. Well Jason couldn't contain himself and practically ran to Murraya! Myself, my second and the videographer were all caught off guard, but we followed the action. So yes there are trash cans and the reception bar in the pictures but the pure love and excitement makes that not matter one bit <3 <3

The dinner took place in a the building across the drive from the barn. They had chicken quarters, pulled pork, mac and cheese, cheesey potatoes, green beans and corn bread catered by Mrs. B's Catering...… I'm going to make it mandatory to have this meal from Mrs. B's at all my weddings... j/k, obviously I can't do that...but really I'd love it if I could because it was DELISH!!!!!!!

After the meal everyone migrated back to the barn for dancing and relaxation on the back deck as the day slipped into night and the full harvest moon rose in the sky.

Jason and Murraya are simply a perfect fit for each other. I witnessed that through out the day as they laughed and snuggled so perfectly, I hardly had to instruct them because everything flowed so naturally, but this all came into perfect focus as I watched them dance their first dance. They became the only two in the room singing the song to each other. I was tearing up watching them and thanks to them I have a new favorite love song and forever I will think of them when I hear it.
