Lima, OH | St. John's Catholic Church | Veterans Memorial Civic + Convention Center | Hawk Wedding10/20/2019 the love story told by VeronicaWhenever people hear about how Mark and I met they usually tell me that it’s like a Hallmark movie, well it’s MY Hallmark movie for sure. To give you a little back story, every year my family goes to the candlelight vigil on Christmas Eve and every year we sit behind the same family, Mark’s family. Sometimes the love of your life is right in front of you...literally and you don’t even know it! So Christmas Eve 2015 is where our story begins. Now fast forward to May 13, 2017; Mark and I are having brunch with our parents, the first time that we all really got a chance to be together. When we were leaving my mom handed me a photo box and told me to open it in my car…SURPRISE! Mark is sending me on a scavenger hunt. The first clue sent me to a park where we had spent many afternoons taking walks, there I found his dad who gave me my second clue. This clue was taking me downtown where we had gone on quite a few dates, his mom was there waiting for me with my next clue. This clue was telling me to head to the location of our first date, my dad was sitting at the bar waiting for me with my final clue. I knew exactly where I needed to go next...to the church where we had met Christmas Eve 2015! I’m pretty sure you know what comes next…💍!! What made it even better was when he turned me around and I saw my mom and his parents had been hiding in the church doors! But, my favorite moment though wasn’t seeing the ring, or putting it on because I’m going to be honest with you...I didn’t even look at the ring until we were getting ready to leave. My favorite moment was sitting in the pews where we first met. Because it was in that moment that I could feel God smiling down on us, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that Christmas Eve Mass in 2015. Sitting back in those spots gave me chills because I knew that it was all part of God’s plan and that he sent me His most precious angel who got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever wife bridal prepFolks, when I worked with Veronica and Mark last year for their engagement session I knew this wedding would be nothing short of epic. They are both kind, loving, FUN, and detail oriented. This day was completely filled with every bit of those qualities.
The couple's day started out surrounded with family and friends at the gorgeous Jameson Manor. The top floor belonged to the ladies and the bottom to the men. Each had a scrumptious buffet of food and beverages laid out beautifully for them to munch on. Upstairs Veronica, who is talented in so many ways, tackled her hair and makeup while the Beauty by Jill team was working away on the rest of the crew. Downstairs the boys hung out, sang, sipped on bourbon and worked on getting their finishing touches on. Veronica wore an absolutely stunning sleeveless A-line gown with an open back, plunging V-neckline, and sheer bodice covered in lace that trickled down the skirt. The full skirt with several layers and a dramatic train, was full of lace, sequence, and bead details. I practically squealed with delight over her unique heels when I spotted them sitting near her details, they were champagne in color and simple in design with the exception of a jeweled detail spiraling up the heel, and a diamond at the top of the spiral on the left shoe. She wore her hair down and loosely curled finished with a cathedral length veil placed near the crown of her head and a jeweled hair piece. The couple made sure to make all their friends and family felt their love with letters and gifts. Many laughs and tears were shared. One of my favorite moments was seeing Veronica in a full belly laugh after Mark had surprised her with confetti in his card. She explained that was a thing they do to people and she had thought of doing it to him but didn't...these two really are on the same brain wave! One of the final things we did before leaving for the church was have a special moment with Veronica and her dad. It was a sweet and tender moment seeing a dad and his little girl together moved with such emotion.

the love story told by CassieWe met October 29th, 2016 at Levis Commons in Perrysburg, OH. It was a blind date, set up by our friends Emma and Brandyn. The funny thing about our blind date, was that Emma had been telling me about Jared long before the break-up with my previous boyfriend. (Somehow she knew!) After that first date, we have been inseparable since. We came into the relationship with the idea that we really didn't want to deal with anymore heartache. Jared is the kindest, sweetest, cutest, hardworking guy I have ever had the pleasure to know (besides my dad), let alone get to be with. We really compliment each others personalities well, as if God made us both with the other in mind. Although some may not believe it, we have never fought with each other and so far the ship has been smooth sailing. bridal prepI would describe Cassie + Jared's wedding as romatic and vintage. Oh. my. goodness. friends, Black Bird Farm was perfect for their day! This venue has been on my radar for awhile but I haven't been lucky enough to have a wedding out there till now. I swear this venue was made for Cassie.
The ladies took over the upper floor of the perfectly decorated farm house as they prepped for the day. Cassie wore a beautiful light and flowy sleeveless gown with blush undertones. Her hair was intricately swept into a gorgeous full braid, and topped with a fingertip veil with beautiful beaded trim. She wore rose gold heels, simple drop earrings, a vintage style pearl necklace, and her grandmothers ring. Speaking of rings....can we talk about Cassie's...oh my goodness I am in LOVE!!! Her ring is so unique and fits her in every way. Even Cassie's garter fit the romantic-vintage feel of the day with the off-white lace and the sweet blue button sewn on the top. Cassie's look was completed with a gorgeous cream and green bouquet with succulent accents. Jared and the boys used a room on the main floor for their prep. Jared wore a white shirt, cream tie and vest, blue velvet jacket, some ridiculously cool brown shoes, and a white fedora. the love story told by RubyWe met when we were 14 years old. Aidan was a sophomore in high school and I was a freshman. We met in marching band in high school and have been in mutual weirdness ever since. We recently celebrated our 8 year anniversary and are both each other’s first and last loves. There are a few things we disagree on like music and tv shows but the things we do agree on and the selfless things we do for each other has made every day of the last 8 years the best. Our love has traveled with us all over because we love to travel and adventure. We have gone all over Ohio and many other states across the country. We hope to continue to take it everywhere with us across the rest of the country and the world. It is these memories that we will cherish forever and will continue to keep our love growing like it has in the past. bridal prepBefore I dive into describing the bridal prep, I want to touch on a couple things Ruby said in the love story... "each other's first and last loves"... [insert heavy swoon and all the heart eyes] I LOVE these two!! "Mutual weirdness ever since" I mean... isn't that the goal we all have? To find someone that you can share all your weirdness with and they look at you like "oh really, that's all the weirdness you got? Here, hold my beer. Let's do this life thing together." LOL I love this statement so much I may have to steal it for MY relationship description.
Ok...let's talk bridal prep now! Ruby and her ladies had hair and makeup done off campus by Beauty by Jill, then hopped on over to the church to get their final touches on. They had sweet purple personalized robes to wear while they hung out. Right before Ruby got ready, the bridesmaids slipped into their gorgeous charcoal dresses that had plunging V-necklines and POCKETS!! I absolutely loved the choice of necklaces for the ladies. I thought it was very unique and capitalized on the fact that the front of the dress was already gorgeous so the main feature of the pearl necklaces draped down the back. Ruby wore a stunning off-white strapless A-line gown. The bodice was covered in lace that crept down onto the amazingly full skirt. This dress was perfect and made Ruby look like a princess floating across the ground. She wore beautiful jeweled heels and her grandmother's earrings, necklace, and ring. Ruby's hair was down and loosely curled. She wore a small headband and a knee length veil. the love story told by JustineOn our wedding day, Eric and I will have been dating for 10 years and 2 days. Our story begins WAY back when I was in eighth grade and Eric was a sophomore in high school. Eric first texted me "Hey friend", and I had no idea who it was. He eventually told me who he was, which lead to him telling me that he was texting me because his cousin Andrew had a crush on me! Ultimately, Eric and I actually ended up dating. We dated all throughout high school, college at The Ohio State University, and through his first years of his career while I attended graduate school at BGSU. After 8.5 years of dating, Eric proposed on the Oval on The Ohio State University's campus, a university that played a large role in the growth of our relationship. We are so thankful for the support of all our family and friends throughout our entire relationship, and we can't wait to begin our married life together! bridal prepJustine's parent's home was filled to the brim with beautiful ladies in cute robes buzzing around with personalized glasses for their mimosas when we arrived. The living room had been turned into a beauty salon and all hands were on deck to beautify Justine, and her massive crew! After hair and makeup were complete Justine slipped into her gorgeous high neck, sleeveless, lace covered sheath gown, and stunning silver heels. She wore her hair up elegantly with a jeweled comb side piece, and a fingertip veil with bead trim. Her jewelry was simple with jeweled drop earrings, a pearl bracelet, and her grandmother's ring on her right hand. Justine was very detailed oriented and sprinkled special touches everywhere through out the day starting with their wedding date painted ever so tiny on her toe, their wedding date hand stitched on her dress by her mother, a blue bow from her grandmother's dress sewn next to it, and her grandfather's ring attached to her bouquet.
the love story as told by LeighWe met at the beginning of 2016 because we have had the same group of best friends for most of our lives. Somehow, our paths never crossed before then. We became good friends almost immediately. We went our separate ways for a few months and our paths crossed again in October of 2016. By October 8th of 2016, my daughter and I were moved in with him, and we never left after that! It seemed crazy from the outside looking in, but we knew that this was something special and that we needed to be together. We got engaged in June of 2018 on a beach in Delaware and could not wait to begin our journey together. We plan to get married, build our family, and continue to grow in our love for each other. bridal prepLeigh, her friends, and daughter gathered at Leigh's mother's house for hair and makeup where they munched on fruit and drank mimosas. After hair and makeup, they made their way to the church to get all the finishing touches on. Leigh wore a fitted, off the shoulder long sleeved gown with lace accents and buttons up the back. Her hair was worn in long curls and topped with a fingertip, lace trimmed veil. She wore simple jewelry and elegant pointed toe, low heels with beautiful pearls wrapping her ankles. Her look was completed with her stunning bouquet of dahlias, roses, mums, thistles, and orchids with a buttoned wrap and her grandmother's ring tied around the stems.
The couple exchanged gifts before the ceremony, and if their goal was to make each other cry (come on...we all know that is the goal) they knocked it out of the park. Sweet Raeleigh, the bride's daughter, delivered the gift to Nick. She stood next to him with this funny little grin looking up at him, then after a minute whispered... "I know you're trying not to cry" <3 bridal prepBridal prep took place on the gorgeous Nazareth Hall campus for both the guys and the girls. Kelsey and her crew sat and chatted in the pretty pink bridal suite in their cute robes while sipping on fruity drinks. Kelsey's dress was UHMAZING! I picked it up off the hook and instantly blurted out, "how are you going to wear this?!" She is so tiny and this thing was HEAVY. It may have taken the whole crew to get her in and move her around all day but it. was. worth. it! Dang! Her dress had a plunging v-neckline, stunningly long train with buttons down the entire back, the upper back was shear with a beautiful jewel design, and the icing on the this gorge dress...pockets! Who doesn't love a dress with pockets?? Especially when you have sweet things to carry like your grandmother-in-law's handkerchief. Her hair was elegantly swept up and finished with a gorgeous hair piece and cathedral length beaded veil. She wore beautiful jeweled drop earrings, nude flats and on her bouquet, placed a locket given to her as a child for her wedding day (I had to take a photo of the little child scribbles because I could just imagine a little Kelsey doing that <3)
the love story (as told by Kylie)I met Ryan in the fall of 2011 during our freshman year at BGSU in the Centennial Hall dorm. I had a class with Ryan’s best friend/roommate, who happened to live across the hall from one of my other friends. When I was hanging out with my friend one night, we ran into Ryan in the hallway, however it was not “love at first sight!” After several more weekends of hanging out, we became quite good friends, but it wasn’t until the spring of 2014 that we started dating. Ryan proposed on June 15, 2018 at Indian lake in front of a beautiful sunset and we celebrated by going to a Kenny Chesney and Thomas Rhett concert the next night (two of our favorite artists.) Fun fact, We are the 3rd generation on my side to get married at St. Anthony’s Church. My grandparents, my parents, and now us! bridal prepKylie and Ryan made arrangements for their bridal preperations to take place at the gorgeous Jameson Manor. Which makes this photographer so happy :) It is so nice to have everyone in one spot and tons of beautiful spaces. I feel like it makes the getting ready part of the day extra special <3 The ladies took over the 2nd floor with the talented Beauty by Jill team and the guys hung out in the corner room on the main floor. The house was full of smiles, laughs, and excitement as they all got ready. Kylie had so many special touches! There were personalized hangers for her bridesmaids, matching outfits and pineapple cups, her sweet kitty Dale came to visit, and for the first time ever I photographed a 3 generation wedding dress photo! I held my breath as we pulled out her grandmother's gorgeous and delicate dress and hung it along side Kylie's. Love. Love. Love. this!!
Kylie wore a STUNNING V-neck beaded and lace fitted gown. The top back of her dress was shear lace that wrapped around to her sides and came to a V at her mid back. Buttons alternating with jewels cascaded from that point down the dramatic train. She wore her hair up elegantly at the nape of her neck topped with gorgeous beaded cathedral length veil. Hidden and only occasionally seen was Kylie's bright red heels <3 red is her favorite color, which was not in the theme for the day but that didn't stop her from following her heart and I LOVED it! bridal prepBride Dakota's day started with her crew at Shama's Salon and Spa. The ladies arrived to The Stables looking glamorous in matching personalized robes with their hair and make up completed. Dakota wore a stunning bright white strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, lace on the bodice, a stunning beaded and jeweled belt, and layers of tulle with sequence accents to match her sparkling Kate Spade Keds. Dakota's overall look was simple elegance with her long beautiful hair softly curled with a romantic baby's breath and rose crown.
bridal prepAmy and her crew got ready on site at Shady Brook Acres in their bridal cottage. As we arrived makeup and hair was in full swing and there were fans galore trying to keep everyone cool on what was going to be an obviously hot day! It wasn't long after I grabbed Amy's details and started capturing these special little things that I had acquired an audience. Amy's daughter and one of her daughters-to-be joined me and boy were they sweet and fun to chat with. My favorite convo bit was about Amy's ring when her daughter asked if Todd had picked that out for her and said, "Ya, Todd is ALWAYS doing nice things for her" <3
Amy's dress was gorgeous y'all! She brilliantly opted for a dress with no train which was perfect for a toasty outdoor wedding. Her gown had a deep V neckline, keyhole back, and beautiful beading all over the bodice. Her hair was elegantly swept up and finished with a delicate flower hair piece. bridal prepOn opposite sides of the church, both Monica and Chris prepped for their wedding day. The ladies chatting away while applying makeup, and the guys were hanging out being guys while passing the time on teeny tiny purple chairs in a kid's classroom :)
Chris was dressed all in black except his olive green tie and suspenders. His groomsmen were similarly dressed but wore a white tie instead. The littlest guy of the bunch was perfectly dressed for his duties of ring security, complete with a brief case and ID badge! Monica wore a gorgeous satin gown with beautiful embroidery and bead details. Her makeup was classically beautiful and her hair was worn down in loose curls. She wore a simple finger tip veil, diamond stud earrings and gold wedges. The bridesmaids wore different dresses all in the same olive green coloring. Tying everyone together was the beautiful and detailed Mehndi adorning their hands. bridal prepBridal prep took place at the ceremony site, the Allen East Community Center in Harrod, Ohio. This building used to be the school and they still have original carpet lol...gotta love that vibrant green! We arrived to a classroom full of ladies in sweet matching robes getting beautified for the day while snacking on berries. The ladies wore dusty blue dresses varying in style. Sabrina wore a gorgeous V-neck, pocketed (I love pockets!) lace gown, lace heels, and a delicate belt. She wore her hair half up in loose curls, with two beautiful hair combs and a finger tip veil with lace accents. Her jewelry was simple with a single pearl necklace and pearl drop earrings.
the love story (as told by Murraya)We met multiple times at different parties but never really hit it off. One of us was always dating another person. In December 2014, I was planning a girl's night with my best friend, Amy full of sweats, wine, and chic flicks. Plans changed when I got to Amy's house. Amy said, "Hey, we are going to go to dinner with Moyer. He's bored and wants to hang out." Begrudgingly, I agreed and made Amy give me a nice sweater to borrow and made her do my hair and make up. We met up at a Mexican restaurant in Bellefontaine, had dinner and a couple drinks. After dinner, Jason wanted to show us both his soon to be new house. We ventured over to his new place with a bottle of wine in hand. We stood in the kitchen listening to music and talking well into the hours of the morning. The rest is history. There have been very few days since that day that we have spent apart. On February 23rd 2018, Jason's parents came over for dinner. They left around 9:30pm or so. Jason and I started cleaning up the kitchen. We had some Valentine's day candy laying around and one of the pieces reminded me of when I was a kid. I start rambling on and on about this story of why it reminded me of my childhood while I'm putting things in the refrigerator when Jason disappears. I yelled and said, "Hey buddy, this kitchen isn't clean yet! You better get back in here to help me out!" In a few seconds, Jason came back into the kitchen and dropped to his knee. He was nervous and shaking like a leaf. He asked me to marry him! I thought he was kidding at first, but said yes as soon as I realized he was not kidding! Here we are, and could not be any more excited to be married! #makingamoyer #themoyerthemerrier #KellyMoyerWedding bridal prepMurraya and her girls got ready at a friends house close to the venue then ventured over to put on Murraya's finishing details. Murraya wore a form fitting lace gown with a full shear back and shear accents across the neckline and front of the bodice. Her hair was elegantly swept up at the nape of her neck and adorned with a delicate beaded accent and topped off with a gorgeous cathedral length veil. She wore beautiful drop earrings and an eclectic collection of bracelets that tied the look all together.
Hannah + Tyler had a short & sweet intimate mid-week ceremony surrounded by family and friends at the gorgeous Jameson Manor, followed by a moment of celebration in the courtyard with a few delicious desserts. Hannah's mom (Gigi's Cake Pops) made the cake pops and they were SOOO YUMMY!!!
Ahhh… the last wedding of the year. This time is always bittersweet. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, love all my couples and LOVE my job. On my way to every wedding I pray for each and every couple and thank God for the AMAZING job he has blessed me with. So even though my slow season is definitely needed and enjoyed with my family.... I do miss it. bridal prepThe weather was perfect for a November wedding, 50s and partly cloudy! The ladies arrived to the farm park in their flannel shirts with hair and makeup beautifully completed by the Beauty by Jill team. We grabbed up Kelsey's details and started shooting away as they nibbled on their lunch in the small cabin on the property. Kelsey's dress.... [sigh].... it was STUNNING!! I first was surprised by how light the dress was! I am so used to picking up a dress and feeling like I have a small toddler in my arms... not kidding folks...brides are the definition of "beauty is pain". The details on the gown were to die for! The gown was light and flowy with a train split into 3 sections. Lace details created the most unique lines all over the gown and the sheer back and neck allowed for lace illusions that lined the plunging V neckline and straight up the back. Kelsey wore her hair up at the nape of her neck with sprinkles of baby's breath tucked in. She wore flats, a simple neckless and intricate gold drop earrings. Her look was completed with a gorgeous light and airy bouquet, that complimented the florals on the ceremony arch. Her bridesmaids wore individually unique dresses of different shades. Huge shout out to them for helping me with the photo of all the dresses! That was definitely a team effort A) I'm vertically challenged and couldn't reach that high even with my step stool B) They helped with the color and hanger arrangements to make sure I got them in the right order!
bridal prepMegan & Clay picked the beautiful Buckeye Barn Venue for their wedding day and it was the perfect setting for these two, since they both a have a huge passion for horses.
Megan had a gorgeous farmhouse to get ready in with her crew and the guys had an awesome Dude Cave complete with a foosball table and tv with a gaming system. Megan wore a stunning strapless fitted lace gown with a beautiful jeweled detail on the belt line. On the skirt of the gown Megan wore her grandmother's broach. Her jewelry was simple, consisting of a heart neckless, diamond drop earrings, and a sweet bracelet. Megan completed her look with a fingertip veil, boots and a gorgeous bouquet that she and her crew made at The Flowerman the night before. If you have never heard of The Flowerman, they are a florist shop but hey have an option to take a class where a florist helps you design and make your own flowers for the wedding! << I just think that is the coolest thing!! The morning was drizzly and chilly, but the rooms were filled with love and joy. Many wedding preps can be a complete whirlwind of activity, their day was definitely busy but each one took precious time to make sure that hugs and gifts were given, and letters were read with family members. This couple is and will be surrounded by much love as they grow together <3 bridal prepBrittany & Dustin had a PERFECT fall day for their wedding! Just a few short days before the wedding we were still hitting the 80's for temps, and then just like that we dropped 30 degrees like Mother Nature realized she slept though her alarm clock :D Brittany and her crew got ready next to the church. There were many smiles, laughs, and tears as Brittany transformed into a bride before their eyes. The interactions between the bride to be and her mother, future step-daughter, and friends were such a joy to watch. Brittany wore an A-Line, strapless, lace gown with a sweetheart neckline with a beautiful beaded belt. Her hair was pulled up at the base of her neck with a stunning fingertip veil with lace trim tucked up underneath. Her shoes were a simple strappy jeweled heel and her bouquet was made of brilliant fall colors. She wore a sweet and simple bracelet give to her by her mother as a finishing touch (cue the waterworks <3) Dustin wore gray trousers, a white shirt, white tie, suspenders and a "wicked" watch that his bride surprised him with right before the ceremony. (Wicked was his description...which I loved lol) ceremonyThe couples ceremony took place in the gorgeous Transfiguration of the Lord Church in Upper Sandusky. It was simply, sweet, and full of laughter. Sweet Kaylee was so happy she couldn't hold back the tears as she walked down the aisle after the ceremony was finished. After the ceremony the couple was greeted with shouts of joy as they exited the church to take a quick trip with their daughter Kaylee in Dustin's grandpa's car. bridal partyAfter the ceremony we hopped on out to Indian Mill park for our bridal party and Bride + Groom photos. The sun was shining, the cool fall air was still....it was perfect! mr + mrsThese two were so great to work with! They could go from stunning serious looks to genuine laughter in a minute. I wish many many years of laughter together <3 receptionThe reception was held in the Masters Building located on the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. The venue was decorated in a fall rustic theme with vibrant center pieces designed by Brittany's grandmother. Vendors:
Ceremony: Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church Reception: Masters Building Hair: Innovations Salon Makeup: Amanda Geiger DJ: Sounds Good Mobile Entertainment Cake: Carrie Kauble bridal prepJeff and Jessica had a gorgeous day for a wedding. It was sunny with a high of 84! I know we were all a little shocked with that temperature for an October wedding but I will take it gratefully because we are VERY close to complaining about how cold it is :D First up for the day was popping in with the groom at his house. We arrived to a large group of guys hanging out in the garage enjoying the day and each other's company. After locating Jeff's details and snapping a few photos, he opened his letter and gift from Jessica, which turned out to be a surprise engraving on the inside of his wedding band. Next up, was checking in on the lovely ladies as they were at Jessica's parent's house getting prepped for the day in their beautiful floral robes. Midway through prep we took a break for Jessica to open her sweet letter and gift from Jeff. He gave her the metal rose to represent his everlasting love for his beautiful bride. Jessica wore a stunning white and ivory fitted lace gown with a plunging V-neckline, buttoned back, and long sleeves with a line of buttons at the ends. Her dress was finished with a beautiful jeweled ivory belt cinched around her waist. She wore her hair half up with a delicate jeweled wire hair piece. Her shoes were a low profile jeweled wedge with "I DO" jewels place on the bottom. Her jewelry, borrowed from her mother was addition to her classic look.
Greenville, South Carolina | Glassy Mountain Chapel | Hyatt Regency Greenville | Hammer Wedding10/3/2018 bridal prepOhhhh you guys... for a girl that has a heart that feels at home in the mountains this wedding was a DREAM <3 <3 Janeka began her bridal prep at The Hyatt Regency where we would later return for the reception. We walked in to see one of the most impressive makeup displays! I couldn't help myself from snapping pictures of all the cool stuff surrounding us. After chatting and snapping for a bit we grabbed the details and started on our way to the prettiest little chapel on a cliff. It took us 15 minutes just to get to the top folks! I'm still in awe of the beauty we found there! Janeka wore a gorgeous full A-line gown with a dreamily fluffy tulle skirt and a white lace bodice with blush material underneath and a dainty rose gold jeweled belt. The neckline was a deep V-line with romantic fabric draping from the shoulder line. The back of the dress was also a deep V-line with a small line of sweet pearl buttons. She wore her hair up with a finger tip veil, dramatic rose-gold earrings, rose gold bracelet, and rose-gold heels. Her bouquet designed by the mother of the groom was made of white, peach, and green blooms and finished with jewels around the stems.
bridal prepEmily + Steve are seriously the sweetest couple! We loved every moment of their day <3 Their day took place at the Manor House at Wildwood park. This 30,000 square foot historic home was built by the founders of Champion Spark Plug Company in 1938. I loved this choice for them because it fit them perfectly. Their day was intimate, unique, and absolutely gorgeous. All wedding dresses are special, but Emily's was a notch up in the special department as she was wearing her grandmother's wedding dress! It was a beautiful silky satin with a button back and unique neckline. She had the sleeves altered to put her own mark on the dress. She wore her hair half up with a stunning comb, beautiful pink heels, rose gold earrings and carried her grandmothers beautiful beaded clutch. The setting of the historic house, and the dress......gah perfection... One of the most unique elements of the day was her use of books. Emily, a bookworm, works at Barnes and Noble and brought this love into her special day by making her own bouquet out of pages from a book and having her bridesmaid carry books in stead of bouquets <3 Steve prepared for the day in the basement of the manor, which was fitting since it isn't a normal old basement. This one was a full man cave, before they were called man caves. It has a fireplace, bar, and shooting range! Steve wore a grey vest and trousers, with a green tie and a wedding ring made of oak. first lookSteve is a character :D I laughed so much with them through out their day. I ended up having a terrible time narrowing down the images to use because they had so many cute interactions! Steve 100% brings light to Emily's eyes and I know these two are going to be laughing for years to come.
the love story | as told by DeenaDon and I actually met back in 2010 when he was the best man and I was the maid of honor for one of our good friends' wedding. However, we didn't hit it off until the end of 2015 - beginning of 2016. In 2017, we decided to move in together and see how things would go and that is when he popped the question later that year. And from there it's our very happy fairy tale ending. Don proposed when we were on vacation in Disney taking my daughter to Magic Kingdom for her 10th birthday celebration. Little did I know, he surprised us with dinner for her birthday at the Cinderella castle. After dinner and while we were waiting on our desert, just as the fireworks were starting, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was a total surprise and a very happy ending. He even got a photographer to snapshot the whole proposal. bridal prepDeena & her bridesmaids all got ready at the ceremony site, Field & Stream in Spencerville. They had a super cute waffle & mimosa bar for everyone to nibble on during the morning prep. Deena wore a sleeveless, A-line gown with a v-line neck. The fabric had white pinstripes and the skirt was full of many different layers and pieces, almost like petals on a flower. She wore her hair up with a delicate barrette. Her jewelry was simple and stylish and she opted for cute and comfy with her white and gold converse sneakers (SUPER smart!!) Deena did get dressed in the lodge but we opted to head outside for the finishing touches. While we were out there a butterfly was hanging around. After the butterfly visited Deena, her niece became the keeper of the sweet little butterfly and he hung around on her dress till Deena's niece stepped into place for the family formals photo later that day. Now this is a neat thing all by itself, but I want to share that Deena's dad passed a few years back and I know we all liked to think of it as a sign of his presence on such a special day <3 first lookceremonybridal partymr + mrsreceptionToast: "May all your ups and downs be in the bedroom." lol....I have heard many toasts...that's a first for me folks.
Lima, Ohio | Trinity United Methodist Church | Veteran's Memorial Civic Center | Wolf Wedding7/10/2018 the love storyas told by Spencer Okay guys, I'll make this as short as I can. Let me know if you want to hear the whole thing...it's a good one! I first met Jenna at the ACT test in Wapakoneta. Romantic, I know. She was with Mindi, a mutual friend of ours that I knew from church and she knew from school. A few days after that, I asked Mindi for Jenna's information and got a hold of this girl I thought was cute and funny. We texted for a little while, but 17 year old Spencer wasn't too committed, and let her slip away. We hung out a few times in big groups after I graduated high school in 2013, but I was going off to college and wasn't looking for a relationship (also, I didn't think anyone liked me and all my goofiness). Fast Forward to the Fall of 2013, when the Homecoming dance was coming up. Mindi texted me on Jenna's phone, asking me to the dance. I agreed, ultimately thinking how fun it would be to see all my old friends. At the dance, I realized again how cool this Jenna girl was. We went to the dance and had a great time, but I had to go back and focus on my Freshmen year studies and such. Spring Break was quickly approaching, and Mindi (you'll notice she was pivotal in all this) let me know Jenna needed a date to the Prom, and let me know how much fun Jenna had at Homecoming. I began to text and call Jenna again, this time with much more intent. I let her know how much I liked her, and when I was home for break, I asked her to her Prom (Super Romantic, I know). By the time the dance rolled around, I knew Jenna was the girl I wanted to make my girlfriend, and luckily, she obliged. We have been dating now for over 4 years, and I am so excited that I get to be her husband forever! as told by Jenna So, I’m guessing you read Spencer’s version of our journey to Prom 2014, but it looks a little different from my perspective. I started noticing Spencer before he took much notice of me. I knew he was friends with Mindi and Lidia from church, and I’d met him a few times in passing. When he stopped texting me after the ACT, 16-year-old Jenna was pretty bummed because I thought he was really nice and funny. Later on, it wasn’t just me who took notice of him. My mom was around him a few times the summer after he graduated high school, and she noticed that he was so fun, hilarious, and a Christian. She would say things to me like, “What about Spencer Wolf? Isn’t he so funny? His mom Linda is so sweet! Are you attracted to him?” I about died every time she would ask me those things, but I didn’t admit to her that I definitely had a crush on him. I started to give up hope a little because he didn’t seem very interested in me specifically but more so interested in my group of friends as a whole. We went to Homecoming my senior year, simply as friends, but I was blown away that he was such a gentleman. He opened every door for me, paid for everything, and danced with me all night. Still just friends. Then, out of nowhere in the spring this handsome gentleman started pursuing me. So sweet and intentional, it was almost overwhelming! On the last slow dance of Prom, I agreed to date him as long as he asked my dad first. Not quite what he wanted to hear. Haha! Our story doesn’t end there though. That’s only where it started. Since then, God has been growing and changing us though our time at college and after. We have grown to love the Lord and each other more and more over the past 4 years. I thank God for Spencer in my life. He has matured in front of my eyes. He continues to serve me with a patient and kind heart. I only hope I can do the same. The way that he has loved and respected me has been a beautiful example of Christ’s love in my life. I pray that we continue chasing after God together in our marriage. I wouldn’t want to run the race with anyone else by my side. Spencer proposed to me on May 19, 2017 at my parent's home. He took me out to a nice dinner, and we were all dressed up. So fun! We came back to the house and he somehow coaxed me out to the woods with him. Back story: We have a little log cabin in the woods at our house that I had helped my Dad build when I was little. I had worked hard to fix it up in high school, but it fell to disarray when animals got into it once again. Spencer had been secretly cleaning, painting, redoing the floor, etc. with my Dad and brother. I was oblivious. On May 19th he took me inside to find it renewed and filled with Christmas lights, countless pictures of us, flowers, and candles. He got down on one knee (so nervous and sweet), and he asked me to marry him and spend forever together. Oh yeah, and I said YES!! We are going to Jamaica right after our wedding. We fly out Sunday morning! We will be so ready to relax on the beach and enjoy the resort together! bridal prepIf you follow my blogs right about now you expect to see pretty details start filling the page... not today folks! Oh we will get to that shortly but we are going to start this bridal prep with the boys visiting a place where the pickle on top makes your heart go flippity flop <3 Spencer and his groomsmen walked across the street to one of the oldest burger joints in the U.S., good old Kewpee, so we thought we'd join them! Meanwhile back at Trinity United Methodist the ladies were hanging out in their embroidered robes getting beautified for the day. Jenna wore a sleeveless satin A-line gown (with pockets, I LOVE dresses with pockets!) Her hair was elegantly swooped up to the base of her neck, she wore a delicately beaded headband and a beautiful jeweled fingertip veil. Her three bridesmaids wore a tea-length dress in a muted purple and beautiful bead details on the bodice. The bouquets were light and airy with filled with white and shades of purple, silver dollar eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves. Jenna and Spencer decided on a traditional timeline for their day, but we did get them ever so close to read their letters to each other. After this sweet moment we brought in Jenna's dad to see her for the first time. <3 As you read in the couple's love story, their walk with the Lord is central to their relationship. Prior to the ceremony, friends and family filled their prep rooms to pray over this sweet couple as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives. The words were sweet and the tears many. ceremonyFamily played a large part in their ceremony. Jenna's family members provided amazing live music, 6 little girls carried flowers in memory of the deceased, there were 2 adorable ring bearers, and the sweetest little flower girl that was escorted down the aisle by the best man. As Spencer stood on the stage awaiting his bride his nervous excitement was almost palpable. As Jenna walked down the aisle with her father, emotion overcame both Jenna and Spencer. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful and filled with the Holy Spirit. Once more the family members joined them on stage to pray over the couple before they were officially announced husband and wife. After the ceremony the couple released each row of guests and we started the process of photographing their 4 large families then did a smaller more intimate bubble release with them after the photos were finished. bridal partymr + mrsreceptionThe couple's reception was held at the Veteran's Memorial Civic Center. The decorations for the ballroom were garden inspired with potted plants scattered through out and hanging from the ceiling with string lights which felt like a garden courtyard when the lights were lowered for dancing. Joyous Occasions once again knocked this reception decorations out of the park! The night was filled with love, fun, laughter, toasts with a surprise sing-along, the shoe game, anniversary dance, and more! Vendors:
Church: Trinity United Methodist Church Reception Venue: Veteran's Memorial Civic Center Decorator: Joyous Occasions Caterer: Black Angus the love story | told by KatelynnNick and I met through a mutual friend on April 20th, 2012. Our connection was instant! We said yes to being boyfriend and girlfriend on May 5th, 2012 and have been together for 6 years. We dated long distance for awhile due to going to colleges in two different states, but despite the obstacles we faced we were able to make it through the tough times. Nick accepted a job offer with Chevron in Houston, Texas after we both graduated from college. One month after we graduated we moved to Houston and have been here ever since! Nick works a rotational schedule where he travels to an oil rig and stays there for two weeks working. I started my career as a dental hygienist shortly after moving here. We have two adorable dogs now, Kaylee and Zoey and we bought our first house together in March of 2016. Its been a long time coming, but we are happy to finally be saying "I do!" :) In our current neighborhood we have a pretty lake with a dock to walk out onto. Nick asked me to marry him there, with a surprise photographer who captured the special moment. He also flew my parents down from Ohio to be there for the special day! We are going to honeymoon at an all inclusive Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. We will be going a couple of weeks after our wedding! bridal prepBridal prep for the ladies took place at Nick's grandparents house a short distance from the church. Katelynn wore a beautiful strapless lace A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline, her hair in an elegant chignon and a stunning cathedral length veil. Her gorgeous bouquet from the talented Ivy Hutch Flowers was made up of light pink and cream roses and cream hypericum berries. Katelynn and her bridemaids all wore cute floral robes for their bridal prep. When it was time to get ready her bridesmaids looked amazing in their navy dresses and each took turns helping Katelynn get ready. Nick wore a grey suit, navy tie, brown shoes, and a cream rose boutonniere. first lookKatelynn and Nick had a HOT day, 93 degrees hot to be exact. But not once did they ever looked wilted nor complained. These two are so sweet, easy going, and a joy to photograph <3
the love story | told by AmberThane and I have known each other since elementary school. We started dating in jr. high and throughout high school. Thane and I just knew that we wanted to be together in high school. We talked about marriage; however, we both intended on going to college and wanted to wait until that chapter of our lives. We both attended the University of Toledo, where we were both active on campus and in Greek Life. In April 2016, Thane lavaliered me. This is essentially a pre-engagment ceremony that allowed him to share his (fraternity)letters with me. It began with a candle pass from my sorority sisters in the Greek village. Immediately following the candle pass, Thane and his fraternity brothers walked out of their house into the village and got down on one knee. They sang their 'Sweetheart' song and Thane presented me with a lavaliere (necklace) with his letters on it and stitch letters. A year later we were engaged! Thane asked me to marry him after a family gathering, Thane got his parents and my parents together as well as our siblings. He got down on one knee in front of them and asked me to marry him. I was not expecting it at all so there was a lot of surprise. Afterwards, we were able to go out to dinner and celebrate. After our wedding we will be honeymooning in Barbados! bridal prepBridal prep for the girls took place at Tree Links. Amber wore a beautiful sleeveless lace trumpet gown with v-line neck and jeweled buttoned back. Her hair was elegantly gathered at the nape of her neck. She wore a beautiful hair piece and a fingertip veil. first look + bridal portraitsAmber and Thane were are first couple of 2018 to do a first look <3 I LOVE first looks!! (I enjoy traditional timelines too) however first looks are sweet an intimate and they also provide a lot more freedom for the day! We have more opportunities for photos if the weather isn't working and if the weather is working with us then couples have more time with their guests because all the pictures are finished before the ceremony. Anyway, Amber and Thane were so sweet, we had Amber call for Thane as she rounded the corner of the path so he could see his beautiful bride walking towards him. I think his smile said it all <3
Delphos, Ohio | Delphos Trinity United Methodist Church | UNOH Event Center | Ringwald Wedding6/12/2018 the love story | told by ToriOur story begins long before many actually know. When Bryce and I were about 10 years old, I would spend the night at Bryce's house because I was good friends with Bryce's sister from dance. As time drew on, visits were less and less often. Fast forward eight years later and Bryce and I were reunited through mutual friends and a spark was lit between us. It all started with text messages back and forth until Bryce popped the bubble and asked me out to the movies. A simple comedy, Identity Thief, seemed like a nice suggestion. This being Bryce's first date ever, he was nervous, so much so that he didn't even reach for my hand or give me a hug when he returned me home. I thought the nervousness and tepidness was kind of cute (Thank goodness!) and happily accepted a breakfast date to Bob Evans (Still today our favorite date location) a few days later On March 19th Bryce and I found ourselves walking along the banks of the Scioto River. After awkwardly rearranging our positions to avoid me from sticking my cold hands into Bryce's left jacket pocket which contained the ring, he proposed! Bryce's parents are surprising us with a honeymoon immediately after the wedding. We will find out our honeymoon destination at the airport the following Monday after our wedding! bridal prepTori and Bryce both prepped for the big day at their ceremony location, Delphos Trinity United Methodist Church, with their friends and family.
Tori wore a beautiful lace trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline, jeweled button back, fingertip veil, and gorgeous jeweled cutout flats and a beautiful bracelet given to her by Bryce's mother. Her bouquet, from the talented Ivy Hutch Flower shop, was shades of purple and white flowers with pearl accents. Tori wrapped lace from her mother and grandmother's dresses around her bouquet and place her grandmothers earring in the wrap. Her hair was elegantly pulled up and she wore a delicate jeweled headband. Bryce looked dapper in his gray suit and purple tie, vest, and pocket square. He wore silver cuff links and a watch given to him by his bride. I met Kellie, Phil and their sweet family for the first time last fall when we did an engagement/family session. I knew right then that the wedding would be a great time. They are completely laid back and so funny. I remember laughing the whole time! bridal prepOur first stop for bridal prep was with Phil and his son Philly at the Mariott to capture his details. I love when we have extra time to pop in with the groom. After hanging with the boys we hopped on over to Kellie's parents house were she, her mom and her daughter Kadance were getting ready. Kellie had mentioned in her questionnaire that she wanted her shoes photographed. UMMMM... can we talk about these gorgeous things??!! I wanted to just photograph them all. day. long. <3 <3 Kellie wore a gorgeous lace trumpet gown with a sweetheart neck and buttoned back, a sea foam jeweled belt and a fingertip veil. Her hair was lightly curled and pulled half up with the cutest succulent hair clips to match the succulents in her beautiful bouquet created by Ivy Hutch Flowers. AND let's not forget those UH-MAZING shoes! Kadance wore a pretty sea foam dress with a high neckline and the same sweet succulent hair clips. ceremonyKellie + Phil's ceremony was held at the Allen County Farm Park. The barn was decorated simply in white, peach, & sea foam. Guests entered to live music provided by a strings quartet. The couple was married by Kellie's brother Dr. Jason Kesson in a sweet and simple ceremony with readings provided by Kellie's nephews and niece.
